There are new regulations for sexually oriented business permits in Lubbock County.
Lubbock County Commissioners made revisions to the existing permit process that sexually oriented businesses must go through. They urged owners to look over the revisions, and offer their suggestions.
"We're allowing anyone from the public, any of the business owners themselves to take those regulations and look at them, scrutinize them, make suggestions, that sort of thing so that we can get something in place that everybody has had a hand in," said Patti Jones, Lubbock County Commissioner. "They've had a part in establishing those guidelines so that everyone knows what the guidelines will be."
This comes as a follow up to the $50,000 lawsuit that Lubbock County lost to the Boom-Boom Cabaret in 2007.
The Commissioners hope to discuss the new changes at the next meeting on October 27th.
