Update on Unsolved 1987 Murder of Veronica Taylor

We have a quick update on another cold case, that of Veronica Taylor. The 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and beaten to death more than two decades ago.

Taylor's body was found two miles north of the intersection of 62/82 and FM 179 in March of 1987. Major Don Carter says when her case was featured by the media in mid-May it helped generate new leads. Right now investigators are waiting on lab results after a potential suspect was located.
