Man Suspected of Setting Fire to Own House Arrested

A Lubbock man is behind bars for suspicion of arson.

Deputy Fire Marshal Garret Nelson tells us 33-year-old Edwin Seward, Jr. was arrested Tuesday evening for allegedly starting a fire at his home in the 5500 block of 9th Street. The fire started just after noon Monday, and caused about $60,000 worth of damage.

We're told Seward is cooperating with authorities.
