The Wolfforth Police Department and DPS are searching for the driver of a large pickup that was involved in a hit and run accident on Friday night that sent three people to the hospital. It happened just after 9 p.m. on the west bound lane of Brownfield Highway, west of Wolfforth.
Police say a truck and a car collided causing the car to rollover. A man, woman, and small child were in the car. Both the woman and the child were ejected, all three of them were taken to Covenant Medical Center. Police are looking for a pick up truck with a push bar on the front in connection to the hit and run accident.
Around 12:30 Saturday afternoon, Lubbock Police responded to a one car wreck near 98th St. and Oxford. Trinidad Zambrano was driving an older model GMC pickup and was traveling west on 98th St. when he struck a utility pole. The downed pole delayed traffic in the west bound lane of 98th as SPS repaired the damages. Zambrano was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries. As of Sunday night he was listed in satisfactory condition. An Officer on the scene smelled alcohol on Zambrano's breath, he was issued a DWI.
