Granite Worker Killed in Construction Accident

A Granite Construction worker was killed Thursday afternoon shortly after 1:00 pm, near 34^th and Bangor.

Officials on the scene tell NewsChannel 11 that a large piece of concrete fell from a backhoe and crushed the man. His name has not been released.

We're told OSHA investigators and officials from the Texas Department of Transportation are on the scene.
