Pena Pleads Guilty to Murder

The Lubbock teen who called NewsChannel 11 to say he had shot a man is going to prison.

Ricky Pena III is now 20-years-old, and on Thursday he pleaded guilty to the murder of Joshua Sarate, 40.

Pena told NewsChannel 11 that he walked up to Pena's car on East 36th Street back in March, and then shot him following a dispute about money.

Ricky Pena was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
