Should the worst happen, one business magazine says some cities will be safer than others in a recession. And Lubbock is one of them.
According to Business Week, cities with a strong presence in health care, education, law, energy and government will hurt less than others. In the article, Lubbock is mentioned by name for its health care facilities, and the fact that we are located in an energy producing state.
The magazine says Lubbock ranks #11 among United States cities to ride out a recession.
