Detainee Found Dead in Lubbock Jail Cell - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

An investigation is underway Sunday after Lubbock Police Officers found a detainee dead in the city's holding facility Saturday night.

Police say 37-year-old Monte Lee Jordan was arrested for public intoxication. He was found hanging from a telephone cord in a cell inside the city jail around 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police are calling it a suicide.
