Lubbock Police arrested a woman wanted for setting her husband on fire. 31 year-old Rosa Berrera stood before a judge on Tuesday morning in handcuffs. She is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault.
The incident happened Saturday at a house in the 2000 block of 10th St. Police say Berrera was arguing with her husband Antonio Berrera. That's when neighbors say that Rosa lit her husband on fire. "He was trying to ignore her and wasn't paying any attention to her, but she just kept messing with him and fighting with him. And they started arguing, and she poured gas on him and he poured his beer on her, and then she lit him on fire," says Renee Smith, friend of the victim.
Right now, Antonio is in critical condition at UMC. Doctors say he has burns on more than 60% of his body.
