Almost five months ago a Lubbock man was shot in the head when he interrupted two men breaking into his car. Now, one of those suspects is behind bars charged with Attempted Capital Murder.
According to police reports, on the morning of June 4th, Felipe Acevedo heard his car alarm going off. Police believe that's when Acevedo looked out his bedroom window and saw two men allegedly breaking into his black Suburban.
Acevedo banged on the window to get the burglars' attention. And that's when one of the suspects fired shots at Acevedo's window, one hitting him in the head. Christopher Arredondo, 19, is in the Lubbock County Jail charged with Attempted Capital Murder. He is also facing charges of Organized Crime and Burglary of a Vehicle.
