Grant for Lubbock Play Village

Big plans are in the works for a park in southwest Lubbock. On Thursday the City of Lubbock accepted a $500,000 grant from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Commission to help develop McAllister Park. The cities plans for the park include the 30,000 square feet Legacy Play Village.

McAllister Park is bordered by Milwaukee Avenue, Spur 327, the Brownfield Highway and Frankford Avenue. The plans also include a skate park, a bike track and an 18-hole disk golf course.
