Grand Jury Indicts Man Accused of Setting Own House on Fire

A Lubbock man suspected of setting fire to his own home also stands indicted. 

The Grand Jury indicted 33-year-old Edwin Seward for a felony charge of arson. Investigators say he started a fire around noon October 14th at his home in the 5500 block of 9th Street.

According to court documents  investigators believe Seward poured gasoline throughout the house before setting it on fire. The blaze caused about $60,000 worth of damage to the home.
