Tech Officials Deny Rumors of Less Student Tickets - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office wants to dispel rumors that they are cutting the number of student tickets for Saturday's game. 

Some students saw a report that the University would only allow 9,000 students into the game so that they could sell the remaining 3,000 student tickets. But the Texas Tech Ticket Office says that is not true. "We don't know where it came from. Actually, our student section is the same as it always is for Texas. In fact it's a little bit bigger because we'll have the grass for student overflow," said Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations Dave Welsh.
