Boardwalk Apartment Residents Lose Another Utility

Posted: Updated:

Residents of the Boardwalk Apartments were in the dark on Wednesday. And by Thursday, they said they couldn't flush.

Residents of the apartment complex near 19th and Frankford  contacted NewsChannel 11 again on Friday. They say Lubbock Power and Light has now turned off their water, and when called about getting their utilities restored, LP&L says they have yet to hear from Boardwalk management.

Tenants say they have the option to pay utilities with their rent, and despite paying on time, their utilities were shut off for non-payment.

LP&L says they took action after sending apartment managers at least three warning letters.
