The Pasta n' More: Does It Work?

With the Pasta n' More you get a blue container that comes with a steam rack, strainer lid and a storage lid. Then all you need is a microwave and the noodles.

For our test, I used lasagna and spaghetti noodles. For $20, does it work?  "The Pasta-N-More says it can cook 15 noodles. That's what I have separated here. But my question is will it fit? (It didn't) That's what I was afraid of," I said. For the sake of this test, I broke just a few pieces and that fixed the problem.

On the side of the container are measurements.  I filled it up to the 8 marker and popped it in for 18 minutes.  When there were six minutes left on the timer, I noticed it was foaming.  If it were on the stove, it would have boiled over.  I was impressed this didn't make that kind of mess.

After 18 minutes, I put the lid on and strained out all the water. They weren't hard - they were soft and chewy. I noticed a few of them stuck together, but I was able to fix that by running cold water on them.

Next, I tried spaghetti noodles. The handles double as a portion measurement.  I filled it up with water to the four mark, and popped it in the microwave for 18 minutes. They were a little overcooked, but still tasted pretty good.

Next up, "This will be the real test. How will it hold up to chicken and steamed veggies?" I wondered. I slightly filled it up with water, put the steam rack in the Pasta n' More and placed the broccoli on top.  I popped it in the microwave for four minutes and the broccoli came out soft and green!

For the chicken, I filled the bottom of the Pasta n' More with butter, salt and Parmesan cheese.  I put that in the microwave for a minute and tossed the raw chicken in the hot butter.   It says to cook the chicken for four minutes, flip, and then cook again between four to eight minutes.  After it was finished the chicken was cooked all the way, was moist and tasted so good! I tossed the spaghetti, broccoli and chicken mixture together, and viola! Dinner was served.

The Pasta n' More was impressive!  I think it works! You can click here to order this product online.
