Wednesday, Lubbock police are investigating what local body shops are busy repairing. Wednesday morning many folks woke up to find the windows on their cars had been shot out with a pellet gun.
Police received many calls reporting damage in a large area of the city in southwest and central Lubbock after 10 p.m. Tuesday night. "This morning I got a phone call saying that my windows had been shot out of both of my cars," said Laura Thomann, a victim of vandalism.
Rex Andrews of Clear-Vu AutoGlass told us the damage he has seen Wednesday has been very extensive. "We've had about 15 or 20 so far, but we've had several phone calls. I talked to the Lubbock Police Department earlier and they said they already had about 100 reported. Very few people have filed the insurance. It is very expensive," said Andrews.
Police are interviewing many of the victims to see if there was a trend in this crime spree, but so far no arrests have been made. Call Crime Line if you have information (806) 741-1000
