Your comfort level is probably the best reason for choosing a gym that is right for you, especially if you have friends that will meet you there. How do you know, though, that you are going to be motivated to keep going back to the gym? That is the focus of this week's "Sharp Advice" from former Lady Raider Coach Marsha Sharp.
Whether you are a weekend warrior, a workout fanatic, or just beginning a fitness plan, it is important to choose the right fitness center to fit your needs. Location can be one factor in selecting a fitness center. The closer it is to your house you are probably more likely you are going to go or if you work near a gym then you can just do that on your way home. Convenience is important when picking a gym.
Finally, you should decide if you want to sign a contract with the fitness center. Some people do not like to sign a contract. On the other hand, a contract might be just the motivation you need. Maybe you have a commitment issue but when you know that you have to pay for the membership for a year, it can be a good motivator.
While deciding on a fitness center that works for you may be tough, the decision to get fit and exercise can lead to a healthier life and prevent disease.
