Food for Thought Report 11.13 - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Out of 62 food establishments inspected by the Lubbock Health Department this week, eight are on this week's Food for Thought list, and while the menu has a lot to choose from, they all have something in common - perfection.

This Food for Thought tour takes us shopping. We hit the South Plains Mall to find our first four top performers.

It's a battle for the best baked goods. Both Mrs. Field's Cookies and The Original Great American Cookie Co. have a recipe for perfection.

As do two nutty shopping stops. Gone Nuts and Tropik Sun Fruit and Nuts each bag a perfect score.

Our next stop is full of fun games and a flawless inspection.  The Red Carpet Grill inside Billiards Plus at 5610 Frankford is a first time top performer.

Looking for great tasting bbq - especially sausage? Klemke's Bar B Q Joint serves it up fast at 7822 82nd street along with a repeat top performance.

Next we head to Wienerschnitzel at 4809 34th where 'the world's most wanted weiner' wins big with a whopping score of zero - which is good news.

Now 'think outside the bun' for our next top performer. Taco Bell at 402 Ave. Q wraps up this edition of Food for Thought with another hot inspection.
