Lubbock authorities considered him armed and dangerous, but now John Anthony Guerrero behind bars. The 23-year-old is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police asked NewsChannel 11's Most Wanted to profile this case earlier this month. Guerrero is accused of stabbing a man near 26th and Avenue Q in October. Police report Guerrero and the victim had been drinking before they got into a fight. Guerrero then allegedly stabbed the victim several times and fled the scene.
The victim survived, but authorities couldn't find Guerrero until Monday morning. Authorities tell us they arrested him around 6 a.m. at a local motel. Jailers booked him into the jail just after 8 a.m.
Now, Guerrero is on the captured wall, which that brings our captured total to 23 suspects. Remember, it just takes one call to move our next suspect to the captured wall.
