If there is anything good about these hard economic times, it is that people tend to become healthier as the economy gets sicker.
That is according to a study at Queens College where researchers found that two things happen when times are tough. For one, people go out to eat less and enjoy more home cooked meals.Secondly, people find more time to exercise. The study shows an increase in gym visits and working out, in general, during hard economic times.
Some of the reasons could be because they have more leisure time or because they want to burn off steam. Either way, experts say that exercise is a great way to deal with an economic meltdown.
