"Walk A Hound, Lose A Pound"

It started Monday, volunteers can go to the Lubbock Animal Shelter, between 4:00 and 7:00 in the afternoon, to walk a dog waiting to be adopted and get some exercise. The goal of the program is to encourage physical activity throughout the community and give dogs at the shelter the opportunity to get some fresh air. The 'Walk a Hound, Lose a Pound' program is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lubbock Animal Shelter. If you would like to participate you can call the Lubbock Health Department at 775-2719.
