"I think it's really scary," said one area teen. "It could happen like everyday life, and it makes you think about people, like not to drink and drive, drink period. It's scary."
Students at Roosevelt High School witnessed a fatal car accident. Lucky for them, it was not real. The Shattered Dreams Program shows students what they could expect to see, if they were involved in an alcohol-related car crash.
The goal is to remind teens of the dangers associated with drinking and driving, especially as we head into the holidays. "We do this to get the message across to these teens, that they have choices," said a volunteer. "They need to be responsible."
Roosevelt EMS, Roosevelt Volunteer Fire Department, and Police all participated in the event.
