There are new developments in a brutal attack in Central Lubbock. Police say they have a description of the attacker. The victim crawled to a home near 21st and Avenue O around 12:30 last Friday morning. That's after she was beaten and sexually assaulted in a vacant lot next door. When officers responded, the victim could barely speak. She could only say a white man attacked her. The victim has since been released from the hospital, and now police have released new information about the suspect. They're looking for a white male, 25 to 26 years old. He has sandy blond hair with a goatee. At the time he was wearing a black ball cap, a black and white checkered jacket with a hood, and Levi style jeans. When she saw the suspect at the Town and Country on 19th and Avenue P drinking a beer, he offered her a beer. She said no. Then, he followed her on foot and used his fist or possibly a beer can to hit her in the back of the head, before pulling her into some weeds.
