Floydada Man Accused Of Murder - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

A Floydada man now stands accused of murder.

Police arrested 31-year-old Sacarias Dee Pena III after they say he shot 28-year-old Christopher Sanchez at Sanchez's home in Plainview. Sanchez was taken to Covenant in Plainview where he was later pronounced dead.

Both men were prison guards. Sanchez was an employee of the Montford Prison Unit in Lubbock, while Pena was employed at the Formby Prison unit in Plainview.

According to police, an autopsy was started on Sanchez's body Friday afternoon in Lubbock.
