NewsChannel 11 is learning more about a fatal accident that took the life of a Shallowater man early Saturday morning. Police had to shut down the intersection of 50th and Quaker around 2 a.m. Saturday, after a pick-up collided with a work truck.
Preliminary reports show the driver of the pick-up was headed westbound, and may have run the light, and smashed into the work truck that was leaving McDonald's. Authorities say the driver of the work truck was not injured. The driver of the pick-up was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police report his passenger, 28-year-old Cliff Parks died from his injuries.
