Rough weather diverted an F-16 Fighter Jet to land at Lubbock International Airport Wednesday evening. The jet was en route to Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico. According to Lubbock International Airport Director of Operations John McGinley, the jet had just completed training maneuvers. It was not carrying any live ammunition, however one training ordinate failed to drop.
The plane landed safely, but rescue crews were standing by, just as a precaution.
