Despite the doom and gloom perception being perpetuated by the national media, we, as Americans, really do have a lot to be thankful for. And as Lubbockites, we have more than most.
Personally, I'm thankful for the persistent stability of the Lubbock economy; I'm thankful for great local schools for my kids to be educated; I'm thankful for $1.50 gasoline right now; and yes, I'm thankful for the unprecedented success of the 10 and 1 Texas Tech Red Raiders this year. But most of all, I'm thankful for the blessing of a healthy, loving, and wonderful family.
So take a moment and consider what you are thankful for, and have a Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at NewsChannel 11.
