TTUHSC Reacts To Murders of Two Employees - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

We have reaction from the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center after two of its employees at the El Paso Campus were murdered in Juarez, Mexico. Roberto Martinez and Ruth Sagredo-Velasco were shot Saturday morning during a funeral procession for Sagredo-Velasco's sister. 

A statement from the Health Sciences Center says, "Our hearts go out to the families, TTUHSC and Thomason Hospital colleagues who are grieving at this time." 

NewsChannel 11 quoted an El Paso TV station as saying the two victims were professors. However, we have since learned they were Texas Tech HSC Medical Staff.
