Cranberries a Good Idea Any Time of the Year

Cranberries are a staple on the table during the holidays but eating them all year long can benefit your health.  Nutritionists at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute say cranberries are rich in benzoic acid, a nutrient that has been shown to stop the growth of lung and colon cancer, and some forms of leukemia.

Coincidentally, since this is the peak of the season for cranberries right now, their benzoic acid is strongest.  So, nutritionists suggest that you buy them now and freeze them for later.
