Vatican Exhibit Brings Economic Benefits to Hub City

The Vatican Exhibit is closed, but the impact it left on Lubbock can still be felt. Market Lubbock, Inc. says that the exhibit created about $8.8 million in revenue for the city. The Convention and Visitors Bureau says most of the money came from increased hotel business.

They also say people who drove from out of town spent money in the city. More than 122,000 people toured the exhibit.
