Lubbock Police say two trucks were headed in opposite directions, when one swerved into oncoming traffic and hit the other head on. It happened about 4:30 Friday afternoon, just north of 4th street on Quaker Avenue.
The driver of the second truck, Billy Perkins, was taken to University Medical Center by paramedics. As of Friday evening, he was listed in satisfactory condition.
A passenger, in the first truck was treated for minor injuries. The driver was not injured. However, investigators are still trying to find out what caused him to swerve.
