Yet again the federal government accuses Texas state schools of violating patient's rights. The Lubbock State School and similar facilities in Texas care for the mentally impaired.
In a letter made public Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice tells Governor Rick Perry that state schools fail to provide adequate health care. And for the third time in three years, the department says the health care is so inadequate it violates patient's constitutional rights.
The first allegation came against the Lubbock State School, but now includes all others. State officials say they will cooperate with the feds to improve the situation.
