Meadowbrook Submits Payment to City of Lubbock

The City of Lubbock has received a large check to cover back rent payments from Meadowbrook Gof Course.

The payment of $136,360.18 was received by the City on November 24, 2008, from Evergreen Alliance Golf Limited (EAGL), the Dallas based company that manages Meadowbrook Golf Course.

When NewsChannel 11 contacted Meadowbrook Golf Course in August, they said they could not make a comment because the issue is "sensitive and classified information."  However, Lubbock City Council members believed the problem was in the finance department.

This week's payment covers the period May 2006 through October 2008.
