Natalie Maines Sued for Slander - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Lubbock native Natalie Maines and her fellow Dixie Chicks have been sued. 

Maines in particular is accused of making slanderous comments.  It has to do with the 1993 murder of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas. Maines said in a rally last year that the three people convicted of the slaying are innocent and the step father of one boy is the real guilty party. 

The step father, Terry Hobbs, filed a lawsuit claiming loss of income and emotional distress.  Maines has not yet responded.
