Morning Accident Injures Two

Two people are hurt after a serious accident in West Lubbock County. The accident happened just before 10 am Thursday south of 34th street.

DPS troopers tell us the car veered to the right and attempted a sudden u-turn, when the car was struck by a pickup traveling behind them. The truck was also hauling a load of concrete, making it difficult to stop.

DPS says the driver of the car, 18 year old Jesse Ramirez and his passenger, 15 year old Victor Cervantez, were taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries.
