Two Injured When Car Slams Into Building - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Two women are hospitalized after the car they were in slammed into a building in central Lubbock Sunday.

Police say the 19-year-old driver was leaving the Highland Park Apartments just after 8:45 p.m. when she crashed into the Coolbaugh Chiropractic building near 50th and University.

Emergency crews had to use Jaws of Life to free the driver and her female passenger. EMS took both women to Covenant with serious injuries.

Police are not sure what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
