Arrest Warrant Issued In Wrongful Death Lawsuit

An arrest warrant is now issued in the wrongful death lawsuit against the man accused of killing Peggy Merimon and Kay Harrelson. Since this is a civil suit, the arrest warrant is not criminal.

A judge issued the order on Friday, after the defendant, Mickey Patterson, failed to show for a hearing and deposition. The order gives authorities permission to arrest Patterson to face possible contempt charges.

Patterson does have the option to pay a $10,000 surety bond, but if he does not appear in Lubbock court on December 19th, Patterson forfeits that money, and he will be arrested and jailed.
