It's a hot ticket to come by and if you don't have yours yet there's no need to worry. The Red Raiders will make history playing in the final AT&T Cotton Bowl held at the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Less than 25 days away until the Big 12 vs. SEC showdown, the 11-1 Raiders take on the 8-4 Rebels. There are 88,175 seats to fill, a 346 mile drive to Dallas and a $100 price tag per ticket.
For some, those numbers add up all too quickly. If you don't act fast you might spend more than you want to. Some of these prices NewsChannel 11 found online were $75 all the way to $999 dollars on E-bay and Stub Hub.
"We'll sell until we run out so we are telling people we have tickets, please buy them, but we aren't sure how long we'll have them for," says Dave Welsh, Assistant Athletic Director Ticket Operations.
Welsh says Tech has sold several thousand tickets above the initial 12,500 school requirement. Cotton Bowl officials in Dallas say they have 2,900 seats left to sell -- 500 of which are on the Big 12 side. "We'd like to have a great crowd, a record crowd because of the expansion, so just be part of history," says Welsh.
Ticket sales open up to students that belong to the student Red Raider Club Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., limit 2 tickets per student at $100, and open up to general students Thursday morning.
As of as of Monday night Tech has less than 1,200 tickets left for sale, so if you want to see Tech battle Ole Miss in the 2009 Cotton Bowl, click here.
