Case Closed on Tech Football Brawl

What a difference a week makes. An off the field incident that could have put a black mark on the Texas Tech football program is now over.

Basically, what it boils down to is this: Texas Tech student Drew Pennington hosted a party at his house on September 14th when a fight broke out and some of his property was damaged. Pennington pointed the finger at a handful of Texas Tech football players that were involved -- including Red Raider offensive lineman Cody Campbelln, and Pennington considered filing charges.

Campbell, in turn, filed a counter complaint of his own, saying he was the one that was attacked. So with the two sides of this story out there, on Tuesday, NewsChannel 11 finds out that both sides have dropped it, and so have the Lubbock Police.

As far as they're concerned, the case is closed. No charges, end of story. Any civil issues as far as property damage will be handled by attorneys out of court.
