Thousands of people in Lubbock are going to need a new homeowners insurance provider. Farmers Insurance announced Wednesday it will no longer provide homeowners coverage in Texas starting November 11th. The company gets almost two percent of its business from people in the Lubbock area.
The Texas Department of Insurance sued the company last month. The agency claims farmers charged its customers too much. Farmers denies any wrongdoing.
