A Lubbock motorist is dead, following an overnight rollover in southwest Lubbock.
Police say the Michael Shane Stinson, 40, drove his 2005 Yukon Denali through a stop sign shortly before 2 a.m., and then veered off the road. He struck a tree in the 5600 block of Chicago Avenue, and then another tree.
Stinson was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. Police are still trying to determine what caused the wreck.
Friends tell NewsChannel 11 that Stinson recently moved back to Lubbock, from Springfield, Missouri. He is survived by his two little girls.
