Library Grants Awarded

On Thursday, Congressman Larry Combest announced a $232,000 grant for Lubbock schools. The money comes from the U.S. Department of Education's Literacy Through School Libraries program.

The funding will be used to upgrade the libraries of ten schools within L.I.S.D. Priority will be given to schools where students have scored low on standardized tests.
