Drugs and Alcohol Factor in Deadly Lubbock

Police say drugs and alcohol were factors in the accident that killed a Lubbock father of two.

Michael Shane Stinson, 40, drove through a stop sign before he struck two trees in the 5600 block of Chicago, shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators say Stinson tested positive for marijuana and amphetamines, and that his blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
