Officials in Littlefield remain hopeful after another blow to the city-owned prison. A company called GEO announced it will no longer manage the prison. That's after the state of Idaho anounced it would pull all its prisoners out of the facility.
There have been reports that the Bill Clayton Detention Facility would close. That would mean more than 70 people would lose their jobs, but City Manager Danny Davis says he and others are working hard to either get another management company or sell the prison.
Davis tells NewsChannel 11 that his first concern is that prison employees not lose their jobs.
