Behind Michael Cooley's 269 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns, Borden County won the Six-Man State Championship over Woodson 54-8. It was the first State Crown for the guys from Gail since 1997.
Borden County led 24-0 at the half and their defense shut down the Woodson Cowboys, who last week in the State Semis scored over 100 points. The Coyotes finish the season a perfect 14-0 and losing only 3 seniors, it could mark the run of something special in Borden County.
Coach Trey Ritchey completes the title trifecta, winning a 6 man title as a player at Jayton, assistant coach with Borden County in 1997 and now as the Coyotes Head Coach. Congrats to Borden County.
