Lubbockites Join Together To Remember Lost Children

Sunday night, Lubbockites joined together to mourn the loss of children in their lives. It was too windy to light them, but participants held candles at 7:00 p.m. at Covenant Lakeside.  Its part of a campaign called the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting. People in every time zone light their candles at 7 p.m. The light travels from time zone to time zone to create a virtual wave of light. Organizers say this event can help the healing process when someone loses a child. They believe it's the largest mass candle lighting in the world. For Your Cell Phone
