Sex Offenders on TV: Approved, but Delayed

The faces of sex offenders may soon be coming on a television near you. As NewsChannel 11 first told you last month, Councilman Gary Boren proposed that the city televise all Lubbock area convicted sex offenders on Cox Cable Channel 6.

On Thursday, the Lubbock City Council voted to approve the proposal, however it will not go into affect right away. Council members are concerned about legal ramifications, and will wait for a response from the Attorney General.
