Even a week later, there is still a lot of anger over Texas Tech's decision to shut down 88.1, better known as KTXT-FM.
Monday, students put out a written news release saying that the university announced the shut down on the same day it was to happen. They also it was timed to coincide with the last day of class so that it would minimize an organized response.
University officials have said all along that the student-run FM station was costing a lot more money than it generated.
