A north Texas honor student is suspended for violating the school's no weapons policy. The problem is, some don't consider it a weapon. 12 year-old Harrison Arth was suspended for having a multi-purpose tool, left over from a fishing trip, in his back pack. A teacher overheard Harrison telling a friend he accidentally brought the tool to school. He was then suspended according to school policy. A disciplinary hearing for Harrison was scheduled for Monday afternoon. He could receive as long as six weeks in the alternative school.

Two Texas inmates are still on the run. The men escaped from Brooks County Detention Center in Falfurrias on Saturday. Juan Guerra is a Mexican national awaiting trial for murder, and the other escapee is convicted robber Steven Torres. The two were found missing during an inmate head count Sunday morning.

Move over Isidore, Lili is now on the way. Texas Emergency Management officials began preparing for Hurricane Lili on Monday. Texas hasn't had an October hurricane since "Jerry" in 1989, which killed three people. Since 1837, only seven October-November hurricanes have made it to the Texas coast.
