Leach Contract Latest

Here's a quick update on the contract talks between Texas Tech and football coach Mike Leach. The Avalanche Journal website reports that Chancellor Kent Hance had a good talk with Leach's two agents.   It also says there's no word on when an agreement might be reached. 

Now here's what NewsChannel 11 learned from our sources.  They say Leach is in no hurry to sign a contract extension, and that he is perfectly happy to continue working under the current contract until next year.   Then he would hope to get a better offer from Tech or a better offer from another school. 

The offer on the table right now is five years and $12.1 million dollars.
